Top 5 Tuesday — Valentine's Day Manicures You'll Absolutely L♥ve

Tuesday, January 31, 2017

Hello my Lovlies — Happy Terrific Tuesday!!

For Cynthia's Top 5 Tuesday I am going to post Valentine's Day manicures that you'll absolutely lve.

The inspiration and pictures for this post came from Good Housekeeping.

These Heart to Heart nails were created on almond shaped nails.  Be sure to let your heart art dry before applying the clear top coat.

Here is a link to a how-to on Cosmopolitan.

To create these Funky Red nails experiment with negative space for a cool yet modern look.  Use two shades of red keeping an empty diagonal gap in between.

Choose similar red polishes like red and scarlet for a coordinated look.

Aren't these Dock of Lve nails too cute?  These nails are adorable for Valentines Day and they are even cuter on the 15th — you can simply paint over the accent hearts and your lovely manicure goes from Valentines day appropriate through to the end of the month.

Here's a link to a how-to on Maryam Maquillage.

Valentine's Day wouldn't be complete without roses — right?  Sarah from Chalkboard Nails painted these beautiful roses freehand.  Don't fear if you're anything like me and can't paint worth a darn there's always decals (lol).

See Sarah's post on these nails here

Inspired by the Valentine's Day conversation candy hearts Jasmine at Californails used pale shades of blue, yellow, pink, purple, and a few shiny accents to recreate the essence of the candy hearts.

There you have it my Lovlies, my top 5 Valentine's Day manicures that you'll absolutely lve.

Make My Monday Pretty — Red Hot Nail Polishes For Valentine's Day

Monday, January 30, 2017

Hello my Lovlies, Happy Monday!!!

Well my Lovlies, since I did the prettiest pink nail polishes last Monday I thought I'd do the Hottest Red Nail Polishes this week for Cynthia's Make My Monday Pretty.

First, we have butter London's nail lacquer in Come to Bed Red — which I think is appropriately named for Valentines Day.

Next, there's Dior Vernis in 999 Rogue.  This is a classic red color and is an absolute must-have for any vintage type red manicure.

I lve this ruby red Orly Star Spangled polish — so much so I even own this one.  What's not to lve it's fast drying, 4-free, and easy to apply.

O.P.I's Romantically Involved is from the Fifty Shades of Grey Collection. This is another classic deep shade of red that's great for Valentine's day — or any day for that matter.

Tips, Tricks & Hacks Thursday — Nail Hacks For The Perfect DIY Manicure

Thursday, January 26, 2017

Hello my Lovlies - congratulations you made it to Thursday!!

For Cynthia's Tips, Tricks & Hacks Thursday I am going to share some great nail hacks for the perfect DIY manicure.

Spray nails with an oil spray to set your manicure and prevent smudges.

Whiten your nails after removing a dark polish (BTW, this works on your toes too).

Soak your nails in a solution of hot water, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda for about a minute.  Or, you could put some whitening toothpaste on an old tooth brush and scrub the stains off your nails.

Here's how to remove a gel manicure at home.

Get the full directions here. This is also a quick and easy way to remove glitter polish.

With Valentine's Day not far around the corner I thought I'd share an easy way to make a heart design on you nails with a toothpick.

Okay my Lovlies, there they are my nail hacks for this Thursday.

Your Turn:  Comment below and let us know what nail hacks you have up your sleeve.
