What's Up Wednesday — Planner Decision Time

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Hello my Lovlies.  It's that time of year again — planner decision time.  Every year around this time of year I take a look at the planners that are available out there.

First, I'm taking a look at what I have now which is the HAPPY PLANNER™ by Create 365.

Don't get me wrong I like the Happy Planner™ for the following reasons:

• They have a lot of a of accessories available for purchase to enhance your basic planner (see below).

Check out their new 2016-2017 Happy Planners

•  I lve the fact that it is a disc bound (versus a wire bound) system.  That being said, you can add, move, and change around things in your planner when and however you want.

It's nice to be able to add notes, cards, inspirational messages, photos, etc. to your planner.

• Insofar as cost it's on the less expensive side - with Hobby Lobby's 40% one item at regular price coupon that puts the basic planner at only $17.99.

•  Another great feature is since the planner is a disc bound system you can use the a lot of your accessories again the next year (e.g. the covers, the pocket pages, inspirational notes and messages, photos...).

•  Another HUGE plus (for me anyway) is the Happy Planner™ is available at online retailers as well as brick and mortar stores.

I like the convenience of going in and buying something after I've had the opportunity to look at it in person.  Not to mention you save on shipping — plus there's always the instant gratification of getting something right away.

The thing that I am not so keen on is the planner pages themselves aren't as colorful as the Erin Condren planner.

However, I decorate the pages with washi tape, stickers, notes, calligraphy, drawings, colored papers, etc. so does it really matter?

                          Life Planners™

Above are  samples a few of the Erin Condren planners.

Things I like about the Erin Condren LifePlanner™.

• There are tons of choices in covers, coil colors, layouts, personalization, etc.

•  Their system is completely customizable. Four coil colors (see above), personalized or non personalized, three hard bound leather-like covers, permanent cover options.

• I like that the planner pages are really cheerful and brightly colored.

• Erin Condren also has tons of accessories to go with your planner.

Things I don't necessarily like about the Erin Condren life planner™.

• According to her website it say most orders take 7-10 business days to ship.  Wow, than can be an eternity when you're waiting for new your planner (lol).

• A basic planner without an upgraded coil or personalization started at $55.00 without tax or shipping.

• I definitely don't like the coil bound system as much as I do the disc bound one (for the reasons I mentioned above).

As a matter of fact, if you want to add a note or inspirational message, etc. to your planner to my knowledge the only way to do so is with a CoilClip™ (sold separately).

Okay my Lovlies, as I total up the pros and cons of each planner system I suppose I am going to stick with the Happy Planner™ by Create 365™ for another year.

Your Turn:  Let me know the planner system that you use and why you like it.
