Throwback Thursday — Vintage Fragrances

Thursday, March 10, 2016

A smell can bring on a flood of memories, influence people's moods and even affect their work performance. Because the olfactory bulb is part of the brain's limbic system, an area so closely associated with memory and feeling it's sometimes called the "emotional brain," smell can call up memories and powerful responses almost instantaneously.

Those of you who know me know that I am addicted to fragrances.  To that end, for this Throwback Thursday I'm going with vintage fragrances from my past.

This was the first fragrance I ever bought for myself
with my own money.  The scent still reminds me of
                                  young innocent l♥ve.

This scent brings on memories of when I was
in junior high school.  A beautiful English
teacher of mine wore this perfume.  To this day
when I smell gardenias I still think fondly of her.

While I don't personally like White Diamonds it was
something that my bel♥ved  grandmother liked and wore                           and brings back fond memories of her.

When I started to get into perfume seriously I
discovered Angel by Thierry Mugler.  It reminds me
of a time when I was young and single, it made
me feel like I could take on the world.

What fragrance(s) bring on special memories for you?
