What's Up Wednesday

For what's up Wednesday I thought I'd throw out my annual dilemma of which planner I am going to go with next year.  Last year I looked at, compared, and researched pretty much everything that was out there.  Finally, I decided to go with the Erin Condren ("EC") planner.

I enjoyed using my EC planner this past year. I decorated it with washi tape, stickers, stamps, and scrapbook paper.  This year I think I've narrowed down my choices to the EC planner or The Happy Planner™ ("THP").  I am honestly leaning toward The Happy Planner for several reasons — they are as follows:

· THP is less expensive at $24.99 versus the basic EC planner at $50.00.

· You can purchase THP at local retailers (e.g., Staples, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc.).    That being said, there would be no shipping costs involved with THP.  With EC shipping starts at $7.95 for USPS ground and goes up to $19.95 for Fedex next day.

· I really like that THP is a discbound system. With the discbound system you can take the pages out and move them around.  Also, if you have the discbound punch     you can punch additional pages, directions, business cards, quotes, inspiration cards, etc. and put them anywhere in your planner.

The EC is a spiral coil bound planner.  That being said, the pages are bound in place and cannot be removed without tearing them out.  If you want to add additional pages, quotes, inspirations, cards, directions, etc. you can purchase (or make) coil clips. You attach the coil clip to whatever it is you  want to put in your planner and then snap it in.

WOW, after I finished getting this post ready I realized that I think I've already made my decision.  I am going to give THP a try this year.  I'll keep you posted and let you see how it goes.  Anyway, below are some pictures and links to both planners   — let me know what you think.
